PRException.setStatus:  java.lang.NullPointerException

Summary



When invoking the <Pega Environment> + <Authentication Service> URL, NullPointerException occurs before generating the SAML request.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure SAML 2.0.
  2. Invoke the URL of <Pega Environment> + <Authentication Service>.

Root Cause



A software use  or operation error.
The error occurred because the certificate Alias was added incorrectly.



Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

To enter an Alias, use the dropdown button to display all existing aliases in the Keystore.

Enable the below debug logs to debug the issue
  • com.pega.pegarules.session.internal.authorization.KeyStoreCacheImpl
  • com.pega.pegarules.integration.engine.internal.util.KeyStoreUtilsImpl
  • com.pega.pegarules.session.external.authorization.KeystoreData
  • com.pega.pegarules.session.external.authorization.KeystoreEntryData
