Product Category data listed properties defined at subclass

Product Category data gadget lists properties defined at subclass, product category and at product level.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Log in as product designer.
2. Open Mortgage Product category.
3. Inspect the data model. It displays Alterations property, which is defined under ConsumerM class (PegaPDFS-Data-CI-Loan-Mortgage-ConsumerM).

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
The product category data gadget is rendered by a grid that is sourced by a data page sourced from a report definition.
This report definition uses the filter condition:
        .pyClassName Starts With param.ClassName.

Hence, it picks up subclass properties as well as product category properties.

Apply HFix-22804.
