'Property must be of single value text property' error



During design time, trying to include a section with a page context defined by a property throws the following error: "Property must be single value text property"

Property must be of single value text property

Steps to Reproduce

Try to include a data section in a work section and choose the "Use page defined by property" option for the page context.

Root Cause

A software use or operation error.


This error message is accurate. Pega is expecting a single value text property. Hovering over this link reveals more information regarding correct usage.

This property is not intended to be a page property representing the class context.

​Rather, this property is intended to be a text property which has a value at runtime that matches a page name on the clipboard of the class context that user is expecting.
