Property value is missing in Local Storage data type post update

After updating to Pega 7.2.2, new or updated records in a Local Storage data type do not include the value for a single property.
New records do not receive the value, and the updated records lose the value if they already had it. When traced, the property's value is present on the record page that is saved, however, the query does not contain the value. This only occurs for a single property in a single data type or table. On editing the row, the value displays and persists until the screen is refreshed.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Update from Pega 7.1.7 to Pega 7.2.2
  2. Add or update the contents of a Local Storage data type and observe that the property value is not present in the database

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
In the scenarios where multiple properties with the same name and with variances in capitalization of the letters exist within the same class hierarchy, the class mapping can point to the incorrect property.

Perform the following local-change:

Explicitly map the property to desired column in the External Mapping tab of the class of which instances are saved.
