Prospect import does not work after system restart



When the system is restarted, and user tries to import prospect list in Pega Market (MKT) portal through Configuration>Segmentation>Prospect List, a resulting segment is not created and the prospect import stays for a long time in PendingProspectImports workbasket. It happens only for the first import after restart, but when next imports are triggered the prospect import process creates resulting segments successfully and the process completes with Resolved-Completed status.

Error Messages

The following entry repeated six times in log.

ERROR <your operator> - PerformImport: Work Object: PI-100 failed to open due to error: Unable to open an instance using the given inputs: pxObjClass = "PegaMKT-Work-ProspectImport", pyID = "PI-100"
ERROR <your operator> - PerformImport: requeue due to object open error. Work Id PI-100

Steps to Reproduce

1. Restart Pega MKT system.
2. Go to Pega MKT portal and start prospect import through Configuration >Segmentation>Prospect List.
3. Refresh prospect import through Actions > Refresh.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. After the restart it takes longer to open work item for the first time using Obj-Open and throws error and hence the import process attempts five retries and finishes without doing anything. The subsequent prospect imports operations works fine.
