PRPC WorkManager does not work in Websphere application server

Summary



As part of the PRPC installation, user configure the WebSphere WorkManager settings. However PRPC does not use the WorkManager with WebSphere application server. 

Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce



1. Configure the WebSphere WorkManager settings as described in the PRPC installation guide.
2. Use Tivoli Performance Viewer to trace WorkManager usage.

Root Cause



Threads were created as daemon because of which the WorkManager was not having any affect.

Resolution



HFix-10186 helps PRPC utilize WorkManager capabilities within WebSphere application server.
