Summary

When you run the purge or archive wizard to purge work type objects, it does not work. You see the below errors.

Error Messages

In the interval statistics, message "Errors Encountered".
In PegaRULES log: "ERROR - Problem invoking function: pega_rules_datetime.addToDate--(String,String,String,String,String)
java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "-" "

Steps to Reproduce

Run (manually or on a schedule) a purge/archive process on a work type object.

Resolution

Several behaviour with the purge/archiving wizards have been identified and solved by applying hot fixes. 

Issue 1: Text "Errors Encountered" on the final report on termination of the purge/archive wizard
Solution: This is a misleading message. There isn't in fact an error encountered. The text "Errors Encountered" is the caption for the number of the encountered errors during the purge/archiving process. Unfortunately, the respective field remains empty (instead of showing 0) when there are no errors.

Issue 2: No entries were processed at all
Solution: This is addressed by HFix-5278.

Issue 3: Entries that are meant to be processed are not
Solution: This is addressed by HFix-4835, HFix-6119, HFix-6172, HFix-9085, and HFix-9863.

Issue 4: Covered Work object won't be purged/archive with the cover object
Solution: This is addressed by HFix-10266.

Issue 5: Only the first 100 covered object for a cover work object are being processed, linked attachments were not been processed at all.
Solution: This is addressed by HFix-21046.
