Summary

When a button action is used to complete an assignment with unfilled Mandatory fields, the system displays validation errors (Red triangle) and halts in Loading. This is happening when old WorkArea control is being used.

Error Messages

Busy indicator keeps displaying along with the error marks on the fields.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a custom button and configure finish assignment
2. Create a repeat grid (with inline edit option) and add some mandatory fields.
3. Add a blank row , do not fill the mandatory fields and submit the action by clicking button.
4. Screen keeps clocking after showing validation error marks (red triangle mark).

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. In IE browser if we have nested iframes, inner iframe form submit is causing to add busy indicator to the outer iframe which is subsequently not getting hidden on form submit. Now current window document body is being sent as target element to set busy indicator, so that on form submit case, it will add busy indicator to inner iframes body instead of parent iframe.
