pxCurrency control doesn't support European numeric format
SA-9163
Summary
In Continental Europe, for example, the decimal separator is a comma, and not a period.
We use the pxCurrency control with an 'On Change - Post Value.' When this runs, a value that was orginally entered as '3,12' changes to '3.12' after this On Change executes.
Also, if you reopen the work object and display that field, it shows as '3.12' and not as '3,12'.
Error Messages
Not Applicable
Steps to Reproduce
- Use pxCurrency control with an On Change - Post Value.
- Set the browser for a non-US locale.
- Save a work object with a value with a comma.
- Reopen the same work object.
Root Cause
The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.
Resolution
This issue is resolved through the following local change: Change the read-only format type to "text" in the pxCurrency property panel presentation tab.
