Summary

In the Report Browser, the field value for pyCaptionStandard is not translated even though the correct Pega-Reporting_<locale_code> language pack is installed.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the Report Browser.
2. Select any category from the Standard Reports in the left panel.
3. Notice that the right panel title showing "Report Browser:{Selected Category} Standard Report" is not translated in the language that you expect.

 

Root Cause

A misunderstanding of Pega software functionality caused a problem in your application.

You have not modified pyCaption.RBStandardSharedPersonalReports and pyCaption.Standard field values.
Because pyCaption.Standard is a Final rule in the Pega-Reporting_<locale_code> ruleset, you cannot modify it.

Resolution

To modify the field value of pyCaption.RBStandardSharedPersonalReports, create a field value with same name in a higher ruleset. Then you can modify the value and save it in its respective ruleset.

Perform this local change: 

1. Modify the  pyCaption.RBStandardSharedPersonalReports field value to the required language text.
2. Save pyCaption.RBStandardSharedPersonalReports into the respective Pega-Reporting_<locale_code> language ruleset.
