The pyCMShowTakeActionList control does not function properly

SA-5610

Summary

The pyCMShowTakeActionList control does not function properly after upgrading from PRPC 6.1 SP2 to Pega 7.1.7.
  • The arrow to show the menu item does not appear.
  • Once that is resolved, clicking a menu item did not open the assignment.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Open a work object. The split button is not visible in the Take Action section.

Root Cause

The arrow to show the menu was not displayed due to the padding-bottom attribute. It was set to 0px, hence the arrow was invisible.
The assignment was not opening from the menu item due to changes in the code between versions. ProcessAssignment activity must be used instead of pyCMProcessAssignments.

Resolution

Perform the following local-changes:
  • Set the padding-bottom attribute to 10px in the pyCMShowTakeActionList control rule.
  • Call ProcessAssignment activity instead of pyCMProcessAssignments.
