PYRSSCONNECTSERVICE causing thread dumps

Summary



When passing the username and password to the interior application through a script, thread dumps occur when logging in to the system in a Mashup. Postgres Requestor Locks prevent users from logging in for 15-20 minutes.

Steps to Reproduce



Unknown


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
The system cannot access PDN through the firewall.



Resolution



Make the following change to the operating environment: 
  1. Change the Dynamic System Settings (DSS) value of 'AllowAccessToExternalSystem' to false. 

    Short Description: Allow Access To External System
    Owning Ruleset: Pega-Desktop
    Purpose: AllowAccessToExternalSystem
    Value: false

     
  2. Save the above DSS rule. 
  3. Restart the server or JVM.
