pyWorkPage missing in clipboard

SA-80477

Summary

On opening the Clipboard Viewer from the CLMRelationshipManager portal, the pyWorkPage of the currently open work object is removed from the Clipboard.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a case in the CLMRelationshipManager portal.
  2. Open the Clipboard from the CLMRelationshipManager portal.
  3. Open the thread associated with the work object. The pyWorkPage is missing.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

For Single Document Mode (SDM) portals, the pyWorkPage is removed as an intermediate step in the processing of DoUIAction (refer to the article in the below link) and the Clipboard Viewer is launched through a call to DoUIAction.

For more information, refer to: https://community.pega.com/support/support-articles/pyworkpage-deleted-when-launching-harness-popup

The CLMRelationshipManager portal is an SDM portal. When the Clipboard is launched from this portal, the DoUIAction is invoked and multiple Clipboard pages (pyWorkPage being one of them) are removed.

Resolution

Perform either of the following local-changes for Pega 8 releases prior to Pega Platform 8.3:
  • Execute the Clipboard Viewer remotely from another session.
  • Launch the Clipboard Viewer from the Developer portal (assuming that the CLMRelationshipManager portal is launched from the Developer portal).
Alternatively, update to Pega Platform 8.3.
