pzClearRecentItem activity not clearing the thread

Summary
When the browser is refreshed, pzClearRecentItem is called to clear the recent documents not loaded in the Document Object Model (DOM).
However, the PRPC thread on the server is NOT cleared as expected by pzClearRecentItem.
Error Messages
Not applicable.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Login to system.
2. Launch an interaction (Document 1).
3. Repeat step 2 to create a second tab (Document 2).
4. Refresh the browser.
5. Only Document 2 gets loaded.
6.The server-side thread for Document 1 is still in memory however.
Root Cause
The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.
Resolution
This issue is resolved by hotfix item HFix-9934.
