Question text in report in Pega Survey contains HTML code



The Question text in the report in Pega Survey contains HTML code when the layout for ‘Question Text’ is RichText/Custom HTML/Section/Paragraph.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a question with Rich Text in Pega Survey
  2. Respond to the survey
  3. Generate the report in Excel using DataPage or PageList
  4. Use the below property for Question:textpyWorkPage.pyQuestionnaire(Q1).pyQuestionGroup(Q1).pyQuestion(test1212test). pyQuestionText
  5. Run the flow. Generated Excel contains HTML code in Question text column

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
The HTML code is displayed in the Clipboard as well for the Rich Text type questions.
