RDL sections with read-only behavior incorrect

Summary



A section (Sec1) repeat dynamic layout (RDL) is embedded with another section (Sec2) with Edit option as Read-only Always. Sec1 content displays as Read-only along with content of Sec2.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure a repeat dynamic layout (RDL) with data page as the source.
  2. Include a section (for example, Sec1) with some input fields.
  3. Include another section (for example, Sec2) with Edit options as Read-only Always.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
  1. Create a wrapper section (for example, wrappersec2).
  2. Include Sec2 in wrappersec2 with Read-only Edit option.
  3. Include wrappersec2 in Sec1.
