Reference in correspondence template does not display in MS word

When referencing the property in the correspondence template to generate Microsoft word document, the following references type does not populate actual values in the final Word document:

  • {pega:reference CorrTemplate.Info.address1}

This occurs after Pega application upgrade.

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a correspondence template
  2. Refer properties in the template
  3. Generate a Word document embedding the correspondence template

Root Cause

A software use or operation error. From Pega 7 onwards, ActiveX controls are decommissioned and are  replaced by Microsoft Silver light. Hence, users using the same application after upgrade are required to execute steps which were missed.
