To remove Collapse All or Exit buttons from the harness/section

SA-14342

Summary

One of  the Harness/Sections displays a Collapse All/Exit and a Close (X) at the top of the screen. This is an unwanted user interface element that should be removed.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a harness.
  2. Create a section with a minimum of one layout added.
  3. Include the section in the harness.
  4. Run the harness.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules.

The user harness has 'Show Container Icons' checkbox selected under the 'Display Options' tab. When this option is selected, and a header type is set for the container of the harness, at runtime, the close icon is displayed at the harness level.

If no header for the harness container is defined, the system will utilize the first collapsible header in the section present in the harness and adds the icon to it. In this case, there is no header specified in the harness, but there is a collapsible header specified in the section.  This results in the icon being displayed on the header of the first layout.

Resolution

This issue is resolved through the following local-change:

Copy the user harness to an open ruleset and uncheck the 'Show Container Icons' checkbox under the 'Display Options' tab. Resave the harness.
