Removed records from Excel not deleted from table after import

Summary



Data is exported to an Excel file using the Data Table wizard. Some records are deleted from the exported file and imported back to the same data table using the Import wizard. 
In Pega 7.1.9, the records removed from the Excel by the Import wizard, are deleted in the data table after the import. However in Pega 7.3.1, the removed records from Excel are not deleted from the data table after the import.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Export a file from the data table.
  2. Delete a row.
  3. Import the file to the data table. Verify if the deleted row is present in the data table. 
    The expectation is that the deleted row is removed from the data table.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change: Click the  icon in Designer Studio to switch to Pega Express
  1. Click Data.
  2. Click the data type.
  3. Click the Records tab.
  4. Export to CSV.
  5. Modify the results (add records, remove records, delete records).
  6. Import the CSV from Pega Express using the old Import wizard.
