Root Cause

By default, the spreadsheet style does not have top and left borders. The same skin format gets transfered to pdf, and therefore, the pdf lacks left and top borders.

Resolution

Apply the following local change:

1. Set the display format to OOTB Spreadsheet format (or use your custom application format).

2. Set the borders on the grid rather than through skin. You would have to configure the following inline styles:

        Header border style:

        a. Click on the circular icon on the left of the header row, and add the following inline style to it:

                    border-style: solid; border-color: black; border-top: black solid 1px;

        b. Open the first header cell's settings, and add the following inline style to it:

            border-left: black solid 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: black; border-top: black solid 1px;

        Rest of the grid's border style:

        a. Click on the circular icon on the left of the cell row, and add the following inline style to it:

            border-style: solid; border-color: black;

        b. Open the first header cell's settings, and add the following inline style to it:

            border-left: black solid 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: black;

Runtime behaviour:

    1. At runtime, you would notice that the all the cells of the grid have uniform borders.

    2. When the grid is exported to pdf, the border settings are preserved.
