Report count mismatch



On adding a new report to a new or an existing report Category, the count in each category does not mach with the count that displays next to the category name.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch the Case Manager portal.
  2. Navigate to the Reports tab.
  3. Add a Category and create it in the Public/Private category.
  4. Open an existing report.
  5. Save As the report.
  6. Submit the report.
  7. Click the created category. Verify the number of reports and count that displays next to the category.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems code.
The old report browser is not deprecated and does not refresh on creation of a new report.


Switch to the new Report Browser.

Alternatively, use the pyCMReportBrowser7 harness instead of the pyCMReportBrowser for the same look and feel as the old browser.

This feature is implemented in Pega Platform 8.3.2.
