Report Definition does not display Blank, False, and True Values

Summary

 

Boolean VARCHAR2 property has three values: Blank, False, and True.
On using an exposed column in a report definition, 'blank' values display as False. However, if a report is exported, the 'blank' values display correctly as blank (unique from 'False').

ROOT CAUSE 

Boolean treats Null, Undefined, 0, and Empty values as Null.


Resolution

Here's the explanation for the reported behavior:

Since the property is defined as Boolean and the value is left Empty, the value is treated as False by default.
