Report Definition doesn't use checked out rules for Declare Page

SA-8446

Summary

You have a data page which is a source to a Report Definition. You see differences in the data that is loaded depending upon whether the page is at Node scope or Requestor scope, even though the same Access Group is used in both situations. The differences are due to checked out rules not being used.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Load your data page.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is software use/operation error.

Resolution

When running at Requestor scope, any rules in a personal Ruleset (like a checked out rule) will be used by the load process. At Node scope, personal Rulesets is not used. As the rules in the Personal Ruleset could dramatically change the behavior of the Report Definition (for example, when report loads a different class), the behavior can be completely different if care is not taken.
