Steps to Reproduce
Perform a Search operation which executes a report definition in the background.
Root Cause
A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
The report definition generated query's performance degrades and takes approximately 156 seconds to be executed.
It must be noted that large data is being extracted. Additionally, the performance degraded due to the introduction of the 'AND "PartyURI"."pxindexpurpose" = ?' SQL parameter in Pega Platform 8.1.4.
Resolution
Update to Pega Platform 8.1.6.
In Pega Platform 8.1.4, the 'AND "PartyURI"."pxindexpurpose" = ?' additional parameter introduced is addressed in Pega Platform 8.1.6.
Additionally, to optimize the query in the current release, database timeout is removed in the database,
Increase the report timeout in the DataAccess tab of the report definition from 30 seconds to 120 seconds.
