Report definition picks incorrect class in framework class

SA-83525

Summary

Report definition created in framework class picks the framework class instead of the implementation class.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the application
  2. Create a report definition in the framework class
  3. Run the report definition in the application built on framework application

Root Cause

There are two implementation classes for the framework class.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

The report reverts to the framework class to populate the report since it is not able to determine which implementation class to use. This occurs when the 'Report on Descendant Class Instances' checkbox is selected  and there are multiple implementation classes defined on the framework class where the report is defined.
