Required field validation fires on repeat grid when deleting row
SA-478
Summary
Input validation occurs on repeating grid on any change of focus (mouseclick, etc).
A common scenario is a user will add a row to the repeat grid, change their mind, and delete the row.
Validation fires, and you need to dismiss the required field dialog before the row is actually deleted.
The user requires two clicks to delete the row. The validation is viewed as undesirable in this scenario by the user.
Error Messages
"Please correct flagged fields before submitting the form!"
Steps to Reproduce
1) Create a repeat grid
2) In the grid make some of the properties required
3) During runtime, click Pega OOTB "Add" link
4) Move mouse outside of the grid and click anywhere on screen. The required fields will flag an error that they are required. This dialog needs to be dismissed before the row is deleted.
Resolution
This issue is resolved through the following local change: Changing the inline edit mode to "Row always editable" avoids this undesirable validation.
