Required Option does not display default control after upgrade

SA-13057

Summary

After the upgrade from PRPC 6.1 SP2 to Pega 7.1.8, all previously-existing Default controls no longer show the "Required" option in the cell properties, and validation no longer functions correctly.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

1. On a PRPC 6.1 SP2 system, create a section with cells that are configured to use Default control.
2. Upgrade the system in place to Pega 7.1.8

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. Upon performing the in-place upgrade, the pyAutoHTML property was empty and caused the default option to not be shown.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by HFix-23175, which corrects the issue with the pyAutoHTML property.
