Required symbol overlapped by field label

There is a section in PRPC 6.3 SP1 application that contains a free form layout. This has a label associated with a property and is marked required.

After upgrade to Pega 7.1.8, when you, as an application developer, open the section rule, the required symbol (*) is overlapped by the field label.

Steps to Reproduce

Create a section with a layout and add a property which is marked as required on the layout.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in custom application code/rules. In Pega 7, by default, the required icon appears to the right of the label that is marked required.

This issue is resolved through the following local-change:

1. Create a new stylesheet and add it to the skin of portal.
2. Define the below style block.

.iconRequired {
    padding-left: 10px;
    padding-right: 0px;
    background-position: 0% 50%;

With this change, at design time and run time, the required icon appears to the left of the label and is not overlapped.
