Restrict "Offer Cataloge" update to limited users



User has a request from client to limit the capability to some of the users for offer catalogue update. Since offer catalogue artifact is a crucial for business and client requires to limit the capability to update offer catalogue to a limited set of users. User requires the procedure to achieve the same.


Enclosed steps can be used to restrict the users to update/delete/create offers from the offer catalogue from the NBAM artifacts:

1. Create a new operator or by copying the existing marketinganalyst user. And create a new access group ‘PegaNBAM:MarketAnalystsGCS’ by copying the existing OOTB access group ‘PegaNBAM:MarketAnalysts’ and map it under Access Groups as per the screen print.


2. Create a new role ‘PegaNBAM_FW:MarketingAnalystGCS’ by doing a Save-as of the existing OOTB role ‘PegaNBAM_FW:MarketingAnalyst’ and map it to the above created access group.

3. Create a new Access deny rule and select the above Role name created and the Applies to Class for the Offers is ‘Rule-Obj-Flow-Offer’ and select the Ruleset in which you want to create in, for example, PegaNBAM-Artifacts. You can also refer to PDN and PRPC help for more details on the access levels).

4. Login to the system with the above created user
[email protected]/rules’ and check for the behaviour on the NBAM portal. Users with this role will not be able to view/create/modify any of the offer rules
