Rule-Admin-Extract class needs to be saved as but its locked
Summary
User has migrated Pega application from PRPC 6.1 to Pega 7.2, after upgrading user runs the application validation tool and user is getting an error for Rule-Admin-Extract rules.
During the cleanup process they have got rid of older classes and now cannot save as the Rule-Admin-Extract class into a newer ruleset i.e. (07-10-xx) hence it’s throwing an error.
User has imported BIX jar file which is available in the <Product_Media>/Additional_Products/BIX/rulesets/ through Developer portal, but still is facing the issue.Error Messages
“ Object Class of this instance
Rule type Rule-Admin-Extract is undefined for this Ruleset Version. The Ruleset in with this Rule Type is defined must be among dependencies for the Ruleset Version of the current rule.”Steps to Reproduce
1. Open the Rule-Admin-Extract class which in Pega-BIX ruleset, you see that it is created in 05-01-01 version.
2. Application ruleset ORG-DIV-BIX is referring to latest Pega-BIX 07-10-23 because of which we are getting the error.Root Cause
Pega-Bix ruleset was not mapped to the application definition of the custom application which had the ruleset containing rule-admin-extract rule.Resolution
Install BIX from Pega 7.2 media and map the latest version of the Pega-BIX ruleset version in the Application Definition of your custom application.
