Rule exists in a higher ruleset version but no warning appears

SA-11555

Summary

When you save a rule and it already exists in a higher Ruleset Version then "Rule Exists in a Higher Ruleset Version” warning does not appear. This warning was available in PRPC 6.3 and also is available in Pega 7 during bulk checkin.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Perform a “Save As” of any rule that exists into a lower Ruleset Version to observe that there is no warning received.

Root Cause

The root cause is that the JavaScript alert was removed intentionally in Pega 7.1 as it would affect the new Designer Studio auto generated actions.

Resolution

From Pega 7.1.7 onwards this warning message is introduced in the checkin popup window.
