Rule resolved SQL query times out on MSSQL database server

Summary



After upgrading to Pega 7.4, report definitions that results in running rule resolved database queries time out on Microsoft SQLServer (MSSQL) database.


Error Messages



com.pega.pegarules.pub.database.DatabaseException: There was a problem getting a list: code: 0 SQLState: HY008 Message: The query has timed out.
DatabaseException caused by prior exception: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: The query has timed out.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch the Pega Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) Relationship Manager
  2. Click the 'New' orange button to onboard
  3. Select Individual or Organization
  4. Run the flow. Error occurs


Root Cause



There is an issue in MSSQL server with rule resolved queries which delays the running time of the queries.


Resolution

Apply HFix-44396.
