SA-53730

Summary

The Safari browser prompts to set cookies when launching Pega Web Mashup.

Error Messages

This page displays information that requires cookies to be set. Confirm to continue.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure Pega Web Mashup
  2. Launch the portal and load the gadget in Safari

Root Cause

This is as per Pega product design.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

By default, the Safari browser blocks the cookies of third party domains. Pega Web Mashup loads inside an iFrame in a host page, making it a third party.
Hence, Mashup does not load in Safari as cookies are required by Pega content.
