Screen Capture Feature was not loaded successfully



Users on desktops without Admin Access and ActiveX controls installed notice "Screen Capture Feature was not loaded successfully" message is displayed on the bottom left corner of the pyCaseManager Portal. As this feature is not required by the users, you would like to remove the feature prompting for this plugin.

Error Messages

"Screen Capture Feature was not loaded successfully"

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to the pyCaseManager Portal without activeX plugins installed
  2. Click cancel to the pop-up which asks to install the plugin of interest
  3. Observe the error on screen

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the operating environment. The feedback control enables users to capture a screen shot, and as such needs to load the necessary plugins.


This issue is resolved through the following local change:
Disable the feedback functionality for an application.
  1. Navigate to the landing page, Designer Studio -->System-->Settings-->Project Management.
  2. Disable feedback for the application of interest
