Screen lock due to rich text editor onchange refresh action

Summary



Adding refresh section to a rich text editor control and performing a spell check causes iFrame issues. These issues, depending on the section refreshed, can cause the editor content to be displayed as HTML (refresh self) or cause buttons and links in the harness to stop working (refresh other section).
This issue is only observed on IE11 browser. Below error message is displayed when running spell check.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create an action with a rich text editor control
2. Add an on-change action with a refresh other section
3. Run the action and add some content to the control
4. Run spell check
5. Try canceling or submitting the action

 

Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules related to the spell checker.

Resolution



Apply HFix-24746.
