The screen scrunches and you can not reopen the workbasket



CaseManager is opened using IE 11; use the Developer Tool to downgraded the browser to IE 9. Observe that when WorkItem is being opened, the left panel get scrunched.

Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open pycasemanager portal in IE 11.
2. Press F12.
3. Change the browser mode to IE 9.

4. Click on any of the workbasket. The screen gets distorted.

Root Cause

The issue is with the document mode getting change to Standard, while changing the browser mode to the document mode is change to Standard and portal broke.


PRPC 6.x works only in Document mode as Quirks that is IE=5. PRPC 6.x works with IE 8 and IE 9 without any issue. There are Hfixes to make PRPC6.x work with IE 10 /IE11, you can see that the below tag is present in pyMetaTag HTML: 

<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=5"> // forces Document mode to Quirk

 With the Hfixes for IE10/IE11, PRPC 6.x works fine for End user portals, Developer portal must be launched in IE-8 or IE-9.
