ScreenPopControl incompatible with IE Enhanced Protected Mode

Summary



Users are presented with a warning message that refers to SceenPopControl Class not being compatible with IE11's Enhanced Protected Mode (even though this is not enabled) and prompts the user to either run the control or not.
Regardless of the option users select, the control does not work.


Error Messages



This webpage wants to run 'ScreenPopControl Class' which isn't compatible with Internet Explorer's enhanced security features. If you trust this site, you can disable Enhanced Protected Mode for this site and allow the control to run.


Steps to Reproduce



Launch the CPM application in IE11.


Root Cause



Versions of CPM prior to CPM 7.1 are not compatible with IE11.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
  • Using a registry editor, change the entry TabProcGrowth to 1, under the registry location, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main.

This issue is also resolved by upgrading to the latest version of Pega 7 and Pega Customer Service.
