Search indexing does not work and indexing buttons are disabled



Pega 7.1.8 is installed on WAS On clicking the Check button for All Rules or All Data on the Search landing page, an error occurs. The Index file size does not update and the Re-Index buttons are not active. On verification, Search Index Host Node ID matches the current node ID and Search Index File Directory exists.

Steps to Reproduce

Initiate indexing from the Search screen.

Root Cause

The indexing seems to have abruptly disrupted after which indexing buttons were disabled. On verification the NodeID on the Clipboard (pxProcess) and on the Search page were same.


After executing 'pzResolveFTSIndexEntry' activity for the indexing NodeID, the Reindex buttons are enabled and Indexing completes successfully after reinitiating it from the activated buttons on the Search screen.
