Search Results "Updated" field displays in two different formats



After applying HFix-28529 and introducing other application specific changes, the 'Updated' field on the Search results uses a different display format for newly created or updated work objects.

Format earlier: mm/dd/yy
Format now: yyyymmddHHMMSSSSS

Steps to Reproduce

Perform a search.

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules.

When applying HFix-28529, HFix-24423 is applied as a dependent hotfix. The readme file for this hotfix suggested creating the indexing or useDataInstances Dynamic System Setting (DSS) and set to true. This is necessary only when the associated functionality is related to searching for embedded properties.


Perform the following local-change:
  1. Delete the DSS or set it to false.
  2. Perform a reindex.
