Summary
When a Segment is run, the Segment is in the Running state and does not end. This occurs when using two Date range criteria in a Segment on the same property.

Steps to Reproduce
- Create a segment.
- On the same segment, use two Date ranges in two criteria .
- Run the segment. The segment is running; however, it does not end.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
The query generated takes days to execute. Without the final OR (another date range) condition, the query completes execution in two seconds. The final OR condition joins the same table and leads to a Cartesian join.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:
- Create two sub-segments for each of the Date Criteria individually.
- Reference the sub-segments in the main Segment with an OR condition.
