Summary
Installing a hotfix fails with the error message below.
Error Messages
•pyArchiveType:The selected archive is invalid or of an unknown type. Please validate archive type or select another file to import.
Steps to Reproduce
Attempt to install a hotfix via Designer Studio's Update Manager.
Root Cause
A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. The latest CATALOG.ZIP file was not present on the user's system.
Resolution
Perform the following steps:
- Click Designer Studio > System > Tools > Update Manager > System Scanner.
- Click the Refresh icon to automatically update to the latest CATALOG.ZIP file from Pega.
- If step 2 doesn't work, then download the latest CATALOG.ZIP file by following the instructions provided in https://pdn.pega.com/support/prpc-update-manager and then upload CATALOG.ZIP file to the System Scanner.
