Selection of Check Box is lost in a Repeat Grid

Summary



The user has an expandable repeat grid with a checkbox control as one of the columns for selecting one or multiple rows from the repeat grid for further processing.The issue is when user expands a row and then selects the checkbox, the selection gets removed i.e., the checkbox gets unselected and the row collapses by itself.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Have a expandable Repeating Grid
  2. Sourced with Page List
  3. Have a Check box in 1st column , so that the user can select one or multiple items in the Grid for further processing
  4. Displaying the Details for each row using Row Details option in the Repeat grid using a flow action
  5.  The selection of the check box is getting lost , when the user selects the check box while the Row Details are displayed on the UI


Root Cause



A software use or operation error : The user has configured the current row to refresh, but is not posting the checkbox value to clipboard.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
Implemented a "Data transform to toggle the check box value to true and false ". This DT should be configured using action "Run Data Transform". Remove "refresh the current row" action. This resolved the reported behavior.
