SendEmailsInBulk agent is slow in sending Emails



The user has 6 nodes in production and an agent is set to run on one node (disabled on all other nodes) assuming that this will result into duplicate email processing. When the user looked at the agent activity, it seems it is designed to run on multiple nodes but only runs on one node at a time.

Root Cause

The scalability of the 'SendEmailsInBulk' agent depends on the number of threads configured on the system topology and the memory and CPU available on the system to be able to provide the throughput.


  1. The 'SendEmailsInBulk' Agent can be enabled on multiple nodes but will run only on a single node at any given point in time as per the current design.
  2. An enhancement in a future release may provide scalability across multiple nodes.
