Session locks up on importing decision tables modified on Excel

Summary



User exports decision tables to Excel and modifies the Excel file. The session locks up on importing decision tables modified on Excel.

Steps to Reproduce


 
  1. Create a decision table
  2. Export the table to Excel
  3. Edit the Excel file
  4. Import the Excel to the decision table


Root Cause



Issue was due to the migration of the system from PRPC 6.3 to Pega 7.3.1. In PRPC 6.3, active x controls were used to export to Excel. After the migration, the previously created decision tables did not work. However, the newly created tables worked as expected. 
 

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
Revalidate and save the decision tables.
