SFTP transferred files fail to upload to staging environment

Summary



Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) transferred files fail to upload to the staging environment based on an error reading from the file system.


Error Messages



Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: File file:filename.csv does not exist
    at org.apache.hadoop.fs.RawLocalFileSystem.deprecatedGetFileStatus(RawLocalFileSystem.java:609) ~[hadoop-common-2.7.2.jar:?]
    at org.apache.hadoop.fs.RawLocalFileSystem.getFileLinkStatusInternal(RawLocalFileSystem.java:822) ~[hadoop-common-2.7.2.jar:?]
    at org.apache.hadoop.fs.RawLocalFileSystem.getFileStatus(RawLocalFileSystem.java:599) ~[hadoop-common-2.7.2.jar:?]
    at org.apache.hadoop.fs.FilterFileSystem.getFileStatus(FilterFileSystem.java:421) ~[hadoop-common-2.7.2.jar:?]
    at org.apache.hadoop.fs.ChecksumFileSystem$ChecksumFSInputChecker.<init>(ChecksumFileSystem.java:140) ~[hadoop-common-2.7.2.jar:?]



Steps to Reproduce



Not Applicable


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment.
The goofys file system was dismounted.



Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
  1. Remount the goofys file system path
  2. Restart the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
Additional monitoring is added to detect goofys dismounts.
