SA-17219

Summary

The below given error is shown while calling flow action first time with Pega 7.1.5.
Error message:"The current assignment and work object do not refer to one another"

Error Messages

"The current assignment and work object do not refer to one another"

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open one work object.
2. Click link to call flow action.

Root Cause

Harness class of the custom portal is not of type Data-Portal . It is to be of type Work-

As portal is related to complete user session, it cannot be something particular to a work type.
Hence the scope of the portal should not be of work- class . It should of Data-Portal.

So whenever one opens any workobject, it is replaces the current thread that is, openportal thread.

Similarly when one clicks on a link, it must open the flow action in the context of the parent thread that is, OpenPortal . But since it is not existing it is throwing below error:

“ The current assignment and work object do not refer to one another ”

Resolution

User must modify the harness class to Data-Portal and create new sections or harness in the Data-Portal class or refer and reuse the existing sections and layouts .
