SIP converts special characters to HTML code when finding case

SA-64797

Summary

Pega Smart Investigate for Payments (SIP) converts special characters (such as '-') to HTML code when searching for a case.

For example,

Find Work:
You have typed an invalid character.
Only letter, numbers, and '-' are allowed (e.g. PEG051011-0000001)

displays as below,

Find Work:
You have typed an invalid character.
Only letter, numbers, and '-' are allowed (e.g. PEG051011-0000001)

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Click Find case.
  2. Enter the case ID with a special character (-).

Root Cause

Defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
The JSP mode literal is not set. Hence, the HTML displays incorrectly. Using mode=”literal” masks the property value from HTML processing.

Resolution

Apply HFix-46465.
