Slots do not display according to the timezone offset

Summary



User schedules an appointment and books a slot at 7 am in the MST time zone on Pega Field Services. When the user logs into the Dispatcher portal and verifies the same appointment, time for the slot booked, displays incorrectly (i.e, one hour ahead of the scheduled time). The issue occurs since the Daylight Saving started.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the portal
  2. Perform a search for the folder ID on the Dashboard
  3. Schedule the appointment at 7 AM in the morning and the household in the MST time zone for a specific field rep 
  4. Open the Dispatcher portal
  5. Navigate to the Appointment date and Field office
     

Root Cause



A third-party product issue: Google.  

Incorrect Offset taken during the Daylight Saving Time.

Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior: 
Pega Field Service (FS) and NFS use Google Call to obtain the timezone. However, the Google Call sends the response in MST instead of MTD.
