Slowness in Field Marketing during select contacts step



Slowness observed in Field Marketing campaign during the Select Contacts step.

Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Click to select all in MY CONTACTS.
  2. See latency when Add Selected is clicked.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

The slowness happens when fetching the total result count if there are a huge number of results. The fix is to provide an option to disable fetching of the total result count, and then to use that option in Field Marketing so the count will only be retrieved on first access or in situations where it is expected to change.


Apply HFix-28738 (core product fix to add option) and HFix-28888 (Field Marketing fix to use the option).
