Sorting from Highest to lowest in RD

Summary



Sorting a column in the Report definition with the aggregate function COUNT needs to be given higher precedence

Error Messages



No error message.But does not allow to give higher precedence for the aggregate column

Steps to Reproduce



Report definition which is fetching results from a view and has the sorting as highest to lowest on the COUNT column. Yet the count is not coming in descending order and unable to give sort order as 1

Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. Cannot sort when there are two or more non aggregate columns along with one aggregate column


Resolution



This issue is resolved in PRPC 7 version

In Pega 7, when in report viewer tab if “Do not display group headings” option is selected then sort sequence is not mandated.
